What is Dell's return policy like?
I will be ordering the E1705 probablly today or tomorrow with the 7800 go (assuming it still shows up). I read that some people who ordered the 7800 go before got stuck with the x1400. If that happened to me, could I return it and get my money back?

Anyone know? Sorry... but it turns out I might be getting it in just a few hours.

Dell has a 21-day satisfaction gaurantee. After that I think there is a 15% re-stocking fee. Southergirl will be able to clarify more.

Ok... thats good. Thank you.

8. Return Policies. Under Dell's "Total Satisfaction Return Policy", end-user Customers who buy Dell-branded products directly from Dell may return them to Dell up to 30 days after you receive them for a refund of the product purchase price if already paid. You must prepay return shipping charges and insure the shipment or accept the risk of loss or damage during shipment and the refund credit will not include any shipping and handling charges shown on your invoice, and will be subject to a fifteen percent (15%) restocking fee, unless otherwise prohibited by law. Dell's "Total Satisfaction Return Policy" does not apply to Dell | EMC storage products. Dell's "Total Satisfaction Return Policy" can be found online at www.dell.ca or on request.

I just had a chat with a dell rep about ordering a Go 7800 to replace my current X1400 but he couldn't find any Go 7800s for sale on the web site. He gave me a number to call Dell parts, but I'm guessing they may not be for sale as individual units until they actually have them in stock. Will they still sell them as parts with such a strong shortage?
Also, has anyone gone from X1400 to Go 7800? Just wondering if everything is stable and all.

Fredrick_NP, are you sure about the ship date? June 27 is almost 70 days from today.

Just an update from my last post. I contacted a Dell parts representative and he couldn't find any Go 7800s in stock, but would give me a call back when they arrived. He was more than happy to sell me a go 7800GTX though =/ Only after telling him five times it wouldn't fit did he finally realize that the GTX wasn't the part I was calling about.
Anyway, for those of you looking to upgrade your X1400, hopefully they will be available soon.

If your going to have to wait 70 days for this system you should wait before ordering it if thats what you just have to have. This doesn't sound like a problem on Dells part in fairness but more like a problem on NVIDIA's part causing the delay. If you've already ordered just call back and cancel.
In 70 days all the other hardware your ordering with this system will most likely of come considerably down in price. There's no point getting locked into higher priced current hardware prices while waiting 70 days for just one single component.
You have 70 days to play with though, give your order a few days to process and see what really happens. I've seen extreme ship dates quoted before, but actually got everything in the normal realistic time frame you'd expect when ordering a custom system. -
Good news for all that ordered. My estimated shipping date is also 6/27. However, I just checked my order status, and it's on build. At this rate, it looks like they could be shipping out this week!
FYI 7800 go is back (with 40 day delay). Also have a question...
