    If you were in the clear when the initial battery recall was announced, you might want to check again; Dell has expanded their list of batteries to be recalled (more serial numbers, though still within the previously mentioned models and range of purchase dates). Approximately 100,000 more batteries are being recalled.

    The moderators at the Dell Forums posted statements today; the company recommends customers re-check their batteries.

    what if your laptop is new and was ordered and delivered after the recall was issued? then is your's still affected?

    go to the site and check, just because your laptop is new you still should check

    I had a friend who had 3 700m 8 cells recalled and replaced. But if it's updated again, I better check the list.

    my battery isn't on there :D -- C5447 -- the C5446 is, but i guess i have the updated model :)

    No models have been added to the list right? It is just the existing models that have been on the list since the beginning?

    That is correct, from what I can gather. If your model wasn't on the list to begin with, it probably still isn't on the list; it's just the range of batteries for the affected models is increasing.

    You can always double check on Dell's battery recall page, for peace of mind if anything.

    I have a battery made in Korea on my e1505, the site still says its only battereis from china or japan
