    Factory restoring 1525 with restore DVD?

    How do I do this? On my last one, I just restarted the computer with the disc in, but nothing happens with this.

    at the boot screen that says inspiron/dell press f12 (i think,it will say press fx for boot options etc) to get to the boot menu. then select boot from CD/DVD..

    make sure ur putting in the windows disk, not the drivers/utilities disk
