Either that or the computer is running too hot...but it seems like the fan is much louder then it used to be. Where should i get a new one for a Inspiron 6000?

You may want to consider first cleaning the fan & see how it goes... It may just be the accumulation of dust that is making the fan work extra hard & this may explain why the fan is sounding louder than before.

How did you clean it? I would say the best way is to get a bottle of compressed air and blow it in short spurts through each fan vent.
