They use to be able to turn on one at a time. Also, I think the fans are only controlled by the GPU temp. Although its hard to be sure about that seeing as the GPU fan always would kick on before the CPU anyways...

But one thing I also noticed is that the CPU fan only goes on one speed now. When playing games the CPU fan would change to diff speeds quite a bit.

I think all this started after I updated the bios, but im not sure. Has anyone else with the new bios noticed this? And is there anyway to change the fan settings back to the way they were? :\

i think its good that the fan is GPU controlled....keeps the GPU cooler (what GPU do you have anyway) and the CPU is cooled as needed. my laptop has one fan (i think) and its CPU controlled, and since the Cpu runs alot cooler than the GPU at idle, the GPU is always a few degrees higher.

try this utility: notebook hardware control (just google search it)

    i found it very useful

Well the CPU fan use to be CPU controlled, and the GPU fan was GPU controlled. Now they are both GPU controlled. Now do you see why this is bothering me? (I have the 7800 BTW)
