Apparently my inspiron e1505 can only read NTFS types of files and drives. How to i make it so that i can read both FAT32 and NTFS files?

NTFS can read both FAT and NTFS.

It is FAT that cannot read NTFS.

Ever use a USB flash drive? Those are formatted in FAT, as well as most external hard drives that you buy. This is done for compatibility with Macs and older machines.
