hi i have just recieved my e1505 about 3 weeks ago and i have noticed since the first week of recieving it i would recieve the error message that says "memory could not be read at reference 0X0000..." i dont really know what it really says because it would pop up right before my pc shuts down. has anyone experienced this problem before? it doesnt happen everytime the pc shuts down but it would happen from time to time. any advice would be appreciated. thx :)

I don't have much experience with RAM, but it sounds like something is up it. Have you tried to run a memory test?

    how often does it happen?

you can get memtest and see if it finds any errors.

Can you post the exact error and error number. Then search the google for it.

if i could give an estimate of how often it happens...i'd say it happened about three times so far given that i use the laptop everyday and recieved it 3 weeks ago. ill try memtest but i had a similar problem on another computer and did not find any errors. however since i recieved it the problem seems to be getting worse for that pc.

My old Dell I8000 gives me those errors whenever I run AIM. But Only AIM, and clean installs never fix it. And the RAM's fine. Maybe you have a program that's helping it to crash out?
