Ok, Dell ships my XPS to FedEx on Monday. FedEx ships it out on Tuesday 12:30pm from Texas.

Is FedEx really gonna drive all the way from Texas to Seattle? isn't it cheaper to use an airplane from Texas to Seattle rather than driving?

its still in transit but i want to get it before Saturday because I dont want to wait over the weekends. :(

Ground doesn't always mean that it stays on the ground the whole time...I suspect they use rail and plane as well, it just doesn't get a high priority like overnight and 2nd day stuff does.

fex ground is pretty fast. the couple of times i used it it ends up taking the minimum number of days to get here. ie if its 5-7 day shipping it ususaly takes 5-7 days, unless its back-to-school or Holliday season in which case expect the full 7 days.

Hmm ground definitely means ground for fedex. I have a couple friends who make runs back and forth between chicago and denver every few days with double and even triple long fedex ground trailers.
