Fedex put a hold on my package until thursday. Its OVERNIGHT for crying out loud. I call them, they say DELL asked for it. I call dell, dell says that they dont know what fedex is doing. Fedex tells me to call dell and tell dell to talk to them about it. I get dell to talk to them about it, and they DENY they are withholding the package.

WTF is this? I bet you $100 I will receive an open dell box on thursday with a 6 year old laptop inside. UGH

This also happened to me. I got Dell on the phone and then called Fedex and conferenced them.

Fedex refused to let me take off the "do not deliver before" date. After about 1 hour I got it resolved. Make sure you have Dell on the phone and get a supervisor to make sure you get it lifted.

Dell does this to assure payment went through, at least that is what they told me.

    Good luck.

First of all, thanks for the help :)

Well, after speaking to over 3 dell reps, and having 2 of them talk with fedex, it seems this is more or less resolved. Dell told me that fedex will have it arrive tomorrow. I am still skeptical because the delivery date and all other info @ fedex is still the same. They offered me $14 back for the overnight. Thats about it. Im really disappointed at Dell for denying doing this. I guess I might have sounded pretty stupid telling Fedex that dell did no such thing.

In the Fedex system it will not change, until the next business day. Mine wasn't changed until I recieved my order. It takes 24 hours or so to replicate onto the web. Once I received my order it said that it was delivered, but still had the old information. I should be delivered today. Glad to help. Enjoy your lappy!!!

The same exact thing happenned to me. I paid 85 dollars for overnight delivery for my Inspiron E1705. FedEx shipped Feb 9 and I was suppost to get it Feb10. At the Dell status page it sais that my delivery was going to be Feb 10, but in FedEx track system it said Feb 14!? So, I called FedEx and then Dell and Dell the 1st time said sorry and they might refund partial of my money. Then after a few hours when my item did not arrived, I chatted with Dell again and thats the time they said sorry and offered to refund my full 85 dollar shipping. So, I said fine. :) I guess I have to wait 3 more days. At leat I got my 85 dollars back and free shipping. :)

Mine didn't come overnight and so Dell fixed it and it left the FedEx in Tennessee at 4 something that morning and got to Michigan at 6 and was at my door at 10. You just have to push them and tell them the shipping refund does not satisfy you, give them crap and get more money back.
