    Hi guys.
Just recently a friend of mine bought a used M60 off ebay and I was really impressed with it. Im an engineering student who does a lot of CAD work and having a large LCD and a quadro video card is very veyr enticing.

It had a WSXGA+ LCD, Quadro graphics card (really sweet for rendering) and 2GB ram.

Now my question is are the newer Precisions worth the price?

I mean sure im getting a duo-core processor. But after researching the newer M70, it seems that the quadro card is seriously weak.

its the fx 350M and its got 64bit memory with turbo cache. However my buddy's older M60 had a quadro fx700 which runs 256bit memory and no turbo cache.

any reviews of the M60 on here? Any opinions on the laptop/the Precision line? Any places where I can get them cheap?

I have an M70, and it is a seriously fine 15.4" notebook. It has been out for a year now, though, and expect a hardware update not before too long. There is a good review at http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=2302.
There is a new 17" Precision out now, the M90, which is top of the line with a 512MB video card optimized for CAD etc.
