I have 2 questions before purchasing.

Dell's TV Tuner - How does it work and do you need other requirements (eg - specific tv?). Also is the quaility of it good?

Dimm in memory - Whats the difference between 1 dimm and 2 dimm, the price makes it seems 1 dimm is better but how?

think of dim as a slot. if you get 2 dim 1gb ram, youre really gettin 2 512 mb sticks of ram, one in each slot. if you were to get 1 dimm 1 gb ram, you have a 1gb stick of ram, and one slot open for further expansion.

if you expand afterwards, does the second stick have to be the same brand for the Ram sticks to work together?

As for the tv tuner, do you mean thier internal or external, and I guess either way it doesn't matter, it does not matter what type of cable you have.

RAM does not need to be the same brand. It is best for maximum performance, but is not necessary. Just make sure they are both the same speed... 533mhz or 667mhz RAM. If you mix and match a 533mhz stick with a 667mhz stick, it will force the 667mhz stick to run at 533mhz. Keep in mind that upgrading RAM aftermarket is quite easy and can save you money. Dell usually charges 2-3x as much as you can buy RAM for from places like newegg or zipzoomfly.
