Love it...and a pretty good price too...missing CPU though.

FixedIt has the Core 2 Duo T7200

Should meet all your needs. As an engineering student myself, I found myself only doing some coding and using MATLAB. Needless to say, it depends on what engineering you intend on majoring, but the laptop should meet all your needs.
-
Yup excellent choice on the processor too
-
You've got a very sweet deal. Cant go wrong with it.
-
awesome, ordering now.

-
what is your warranty? complete care?
how many years?
24 hour on site?
thanks -

Well then you're absolutely set...those specs with that price you CANNOT beat. I'm a EE myself (but a self proclaimed Computer E) and I know that amount of power should take care of your class needs for a long time.
I'd take some of that extra money and invest in a modular bay battery...then your battery could take you through a day or two of classes on a single charge! -
Wow, that's a really awesome deal.
Normally that deal would range somewhere $1700+
How did you managed to get it so low?
Congratz on ur purchase btw. -
Don't Forget To Buy A Ti-89 Platinum Graphing Calculator, It'll Be More Useful Than Any Pc During Your Engineering Studies. Also, Start Looking For Cool Engineering And Math Programs Such As Matlab 7.1, Mathematica, Maple, If Electrical Or Computer Engineering I Recommend Maxwell And Electronics Workbench. Of Course Microsoft Programs Are Useful And Your University Might Have A Campus Agreement With Microsoft For Programs Such As Office And Visual Studio. But Above All Buy That Ti-89 Platinum Asap!!!
