Overall, I am pretty pleased for the price that I got. I was pretty much down to the Acer Aspire 5672WLMI and the 6400. I guess it came down to what I was getting for my money, in which case Dell won.
I have read a lot about the 6400/e1505 (Its the same I guess) and I htink that it will be a pretty good computer for school and other things. People say that it isnt very mobile, I guess I'll be the judge of that. The reason I chose Dell, is my Dimension 8200 (5 YEARS OLD) runs like brand new with Win XP. If my Inspiron can last that long and beyond, than I'll be pleased.
Sorry for rambling on, I'm just excitedBy the way, I will write a review when I get it. I'm sure it will help those in search for a good laptop. The reviews really helped me!
Thanks for readingTell me what you think.

So what graphics card does it have?
-
that is a nicely configured machine
-
i got all that plus the x1400 and windows xp home instead for 1218.66 tax included and yes its canadian funds

hey pretty nice config you have there and congrats for the purchase.
but my experience with dell, though the notebook is still to be delivered, has been 'sluggish' to say the least. i've read several cases at different forums that notebooks are generally delivered within a 5-10 day span in North America, but in Asia, particularly India, the remarks are not upto the mark. ordered on 30th, my notebook has to wait there in the warehousing facility for two+ days (after being cleared of customs in 7 days- it shipped within 20 hrs of order processing - as if there was some doubt about clearances) just for the invoice to reach there from bangalore. i know dell is a little bit conservative about the lead times but this has been a cruel wait so far. i get completely different replies each time i call the delivery status facilty.
anyhow, i just hope that i get it as soon as possible without any further inadvertent delay. -
@HPInvent - I ordered the 256mb x1400
@compsavy - Thanks! I hope it performs as well as it is advertised
@Humbert - Actually I need mine to come later. I'm going on vacation next week and wont be in town! They estimate the 21st, but knowing Dell it may come earlier. Thats irony for ya
Finally! Inspiron 6400 on its way!
