Just shipped.

 

Mine just shipped on Tuesday as well. They promised me overnight shipping but so far only my printer has come (i hope my spring green laptop comes in today)

 

I have a Spring Green laptop as well. They must just be getting those in.

 

Seems I'm alone in this BUILD box :'(

Does anyone that shipped today have a tracking number yet?

 

You are not alone Frazell! I am in the build box right along with you. Had to reorder my Jet Black 1521 08/23 and it says ship date is 09/10 wish me luck!

 

No tracking number for me either. Am I going to get my overnight shipping? I've waited this long, but I don't think I can wait until next week. I want it tomorrow so I can play all weekend. I'm in Dallas, surely they can truck it over tonight!!!

 

Man I didn't realize how bad Dell shipping was.

I ordered my Vostro 1400 on 8/31 and recieved 9/5 with DHL 3-5 day shipping.

 

I hear that! I'm beginning to think maybe the overnight shipping thing is just a trick on Dell's part. Maybe they update their site but don't actually send the information through to the Carrier. I checked my invoice online and it says "DHL Express Ground".

 

I didn't even look at the invoice. Mine says DHL Express Next Day. Thing is, don't you think if I got "Express Next Day" that I would have a tracking number already? When does that come? Even though that's what my invoice says, my dell website thing says 9/11-9/13. So annoying.

 

mine is coming home! thats right people, ordered aug 7, shipped today.the funny thing is, yesterday, i talked to a csr who said it was in preproduction and should ship today.i still dont understand how it built, tested, and boxed all in the same day.i even have a tracking number, so i know it shipped

 

I did dell chat and got the tracking number. dhl doesn't have numbers from today's packages in their system yet, so hopefully its on a truck somewhere on I-30 coming to Dallas right now.

 

I chose the free 3-5 day shipping. I have no idea what company Dell will use to deliver the computer. I hope it isn't DHL. I've gotten things by Fedex and by UPS, but I've never received anything by DHL. I don't think they know where I live.

 

that's why I sent mine to my dad's box at the ups store.

 

Ok, tracking number is now on dell.com, but dhl doesn't recognize it. I'm going to bed now. Hopefully tomorrow I'm coming at you from my Spring Green 1521!!!!!!

My tracking number just showed up and DHL is recognizing it. Looks like I got screwed over with regular ground shipping though...

 

nothing still but something pops up like 2 hours after you guys say something lol every single time....

 

mine shipped today as well with an estimated delivery date of 9/11-9/13 with NBD. Dell's site is showing DHL EXPRESS GROUND though when the tracking number showed up around 5p, I called DHL's automated line and it told me that the system is scheduled to be delivered 9/7! So I maybe Dell does actually send the systems next business day despite what their site says. Also we I tracked the system it does show Next Day shipping despite Dell's site

 

dell call it express overnight but if you are unlucky enough to get dhl service the express overnight through dhl is really "ground express" which is rally the same as ground ups... 3-5 business days just fyi ive been through this 3 times already and this is the fourth one coming soon.. same thing every stinking time with the "express" crap


what really sucks is i wanted a blue system... when i ordered they had a huge wait now all the systems ordered when i did or after in any color but yellow are all shipping so i could have ordered any color and still had it in the same amount of time... i am so ticked about that

 

They blatantly lied to me in the chat this morning then. Here is what I was told

"I see in the records that the order was shipped via Airborne/DHL on 09-06-07. You can track the shipping status at: http://www.dhl-usa.com/home/home.asp. You can also call Airborne at: 1-800 2255345 for your shipping status. The tracking number is 15XXXXXXX"

 

Airborne Express was the shipping company before DHL bought them 4-5 years ago. Dell still uses both names occasionally with some waybills, especially parts packing lists.

I think DHL has certain levels of service depending on where you live and whats available. I typically receive Dell shipments via UPS ground, but when it comes DHL, its usually delivered by 10am next day.

Mine says it was shipped on the 6th, but the tracking number isn't recognized by DHL and the Dell order number says "in transit to carrier." Probably sitting in a warehouse somewhere.

I got the email saying it was shipped but i still have nothing under the tracking number and EDD...

EDIT: Actually I have an EDD of 9/11-9/13 but I have "Data Temporarily Unavailable" for Carrier and Tacking Number.

 

Same dates here too...."unavailable" since yesterday evening.

 

I believe that could be considered cruel and unusual punishment.

Also, NBD shipping means, next business day right? So, why Tuesday and not Monday?

Don't know. Might just err on the side of caution. Maybe they figure you'll be happy when you get it early (before Thursday).

 

Sounds about right. They could have just me my laptop would be in mid. March and I would have been SUPER excited!

Well they just attempted delivery 40 minutes ago but my brother was in the shower and I am at work so they didn't deliver it. Great. Now I have to wait until Monday.

 

That was prompt. I called DHL right after I posted and told them that my brother was home. They came back and delivered the package. Can't wait until I get back home and get to use this thing.

 

mines supposed to be delivered today, still waiting tho!

It finally SHIPPED! It's supposed to be next day delivery but the est. delivery date on the dell site says 9/12-14? Does DHL ship on weekends?

 

I think they ship Next Business Day, which would mean no.

 

After 3 days in boxing it has shipped. I really can't complain about a long wait since I just ordered this past Monday.

If they give you a range like that it means you got 3-5 day shipping.

 

Tracking number works now, but no ETA. Just processing. Maybe NBD means it gets trucked/flown to a regional hub and then NBD'd? The ETA might suggest this.

The bag is being shipped ground. ETA is 9/11.

Also looks like my D830 shipped today too.

 

mine was shipped the 6th and it's in Orlando a couple hours ago it was in Nashville...DHL didn't pick it up...til the 7th though...but I got the info and it was pretty fast. my fingers are crossing for monday and it looks like a reality! I hope!
