I got a dell outlet one time use coupon (i think they sent tons of these out) so i've been watching the outlet and finally just ordered this:

    Inspiron 1520 Core Merom T5250
    2 GB ram 667 Mhz
    320 GB HD
    Video card: WW684 Module,Card,Graphics,NVIDA 256MB,G84

    Screen: UW220 Module,Liquid Crystal Display 15.4WXGA,True Life,Latitude CPT,C/S

Total up (including tax and shipping) is 791$.

What do you think about the price ? And also anyone knows about the screen part ? is this a good part or did i get the infamous samsung display ? I can probably still cancel it so fast reply would be appreciated.

To be honest that doesn't seem like a great price. If you look at your order details you can see if your screen is a samsung or an LG etc... I got a Dell m1530 on Saturday for $983 (specs in my sig) and it is MUCH better than the one you ordered. I had received a 20% coupon though in my email box. I also saw m1530's that had similar specs to yours (slightly worse) for around $550 after coupon. The outlet is pretty much wiped out right now so if I was you I would wait until the next sale. That being said, if you don't need a faster computer and/or don't don't want to wait for a wider selection in the outlet go for it. Just remember, there will always be another deal.

Hmm compared to standard 599 prices of vostro they have up there (which would amount to 640 + with tax)

Mine has 320 GB over 160 GB
    a better graphic card

And for that, i pay something like 150 $ more.
the rest are pretty much similar.

    My screen order detail: Screen: UW220 Module,Liquid Crystal Display 15.4WXGA,True Life,Latitude CPT,C/S.
I can't tell whether this is samsung or LG, some help please.

I guess it's an ok price. I think I got a great deal.

On 1/30 I ordered a Vostro 1500 with the following specs:

    T7250 Core 2 Duo (2.0 GHz)
1 GB of RAM (upgraded myself to 2 GB Crucial RAM for $30)
    15.4" WXSGA+ LG Screen
    256MB Nvidia 8600M GT
80 GB 5400 RPM Hard Drive
    Intel Pro Wireless Card
    Windows XP SP2
    Bluetooth Module for Windows XP

$820 to my door which includes shipping and CA sales tax

Jack, yeah its refurbished. I also had a 20% oulet coupon. I figured that since it had a warranty at that price it wasn't worth getting a brand new one. BTW, for those of you wanting to upgrade your ram, I found ram REALLY cheap on buy.com. I got a 2gb stick of corsair pc2 5300 667mhz notebook memory for $27 shipped.

Even if it "may" have some tell-tale signs of wear as refurbished, that is a very good price you got. I sure love mine. Here is the review I did on mine if you want to read it:

    go here - https://ecomm.dell.com/myaccount/su...&cs=22&l=en&s=dfh&source_id=100002&~ck=anavml

Type your Email in at the bottom then click on the button that says- Edit my Subscription or Unsubscribe

You can then click on which things you desire to receive. It is kind of weird. I'm signed up on with 2 different email addresses, and sometimes I get the coupons on 1 and not on the other.

Jack, already read it. Nice review. I especially like the pics of the hdtv! I'm hoping to do that when I get my comp. Can't wait to play games on a 50 inch screen even though mine is only 720p.
