so i finally bit the bullet, and got my first laptop. main reason i got it now, was because prices were really good and "low", and i got a decent chunk of change for graduation. here are my specs:

total was a little less than $1600. i think thats pretty good, but i prolly would have gone lower if i took some of those options off. might post pics, but im sure u guys know what it looks like by now

 

Sounds like a good deal to me especially when you have 3 years warranty. With all that gadget, it's good to have it.

I have a question for you. Did you use the 750 off 2000 coupon with that deal and get the 100 mail in rebate through epp. I was thinking of getting a similar system, but when I online chatted the dell rep, they said that I couldn't get MIR even though it appeared in my checkout screen.

no, if u go to configure the laptop (where it shows the 4 options to pick from), pick the far left; the one that says 34% off. i picked that one, then used the 12% from EPP, then ill be using the $100 rebate when the laptop comes in. all together, it will be over $1000 off

i didnt expect to see checks beside kitting, and building already, seeing as how dell said there was a 7 day delay for certain parts. now it is in the testing phase. i was asking if this was normal because it is so soon, and they said there was a delay

 

well, it wil be in testing and boxing etc. for some time..

they are actually getting the battery from japan, the buttons from china, the AC adapter from china, the motherboard from maylasia, some other parts from all over the world..

then it will be shipped to tennesse, where it will be shipped again to your home..

 

so its actually not built?

 

Got my E1505 last week it is a great machine you will not be disapointed. Also they told me two weeks also and it was here in exactly one week. Good Luck !

Actually I wasn't able to order it until yesterday, and I checked today and it is already Testing. Wow this is fast hopefully it keeps it up.

 

ok...should i be upset? its 6:45...and there is still nothing here. UPS said it would be here today, ive even checked their website. should i be upset, or is that normal?
