Finally the inspiron 1720 REVIEW-->Lots a Pics

Need to be shrunk? Why? you need to scroll? hmm i dont need to scroll at all.. they are perfect!
ahh wait.. you are one of the guys that think 1920x1200 in a 17" is to much

I could live with a smaller resolution on a 17". And i don't use the high dpi, just normal because the high dpi is really ugly.. Icons are blurry some sites that are designed on the pixel don't fit anymore..

And i can read pretty much everything from 1 meter if i want to, so maybe most of you need glasses

Hi! I have a question. Did you get the Creative Earphones with the notebook, I mean, for free, or did you pay for them (or got them in some compensation)??

My friend just got his Black Inspiron 1720 the other day w/headphones+Media Remote. I belive they come with the notebook because he said he did'nt order them on the side.

 

Well the guy who reviewed it is from India and here its included, there is no option to select or de-select it...

Was a great review.

The speakers really suck on mine. The volume only needs to be at quite a low volume and they will squeal. Bloody annoying. I expected more as well.

 

How can you tell who made your monitor? All mine says in devices is generic monitor..

Does anyone know if Dell makes their own monitors in 1720 or Vostro? Or, another manufacturer makes it?
A dell salesperson told me that Dell makes their monitor, its that true?

im a 6`4 big strong lad, so the weight/size isnt an issue for me, its mainly used in a desktop senario too, i love the build quality of mine, i dont get any cpu whine ? unless im doing something heavy like playing games its silent, if i go to bed and its downloading i cant hear a thing !!

ive had it a couple of weeks now, and for some reason id nottried a dvd in it, i popped in a live oasis dvd from a gig i was at at wembely stadium in 2000 id not watched in a while,and ive just had it playing at full volume ,and it was agreat expirience, the picture was very clear and crisp, so much better than my old acer, and the sound was awsome for a laptop too

its a truly marvelous machine and a joy to own


i have got the dell media remote for christmas gift from someone and it got delivered last week, i cant wait to get it and test it out !!

when you say you can control vista to an extent, what sort of stuff can it be used for exactly ?
