    Hi guys a small question.

I formatted my new dell laptop and reinstalled everything.

    Before format:

the login screen showed just my user account and i could select i and type in a password or i could swipe my finger to login.

    Now:
it shows both my user account and a account saying to swipe my finger to login.

How can i get it so there is just my user account showing on there but can sstill swipe my finger to login like it was before i formatted?

Have you tried not opting for the standard logon password for the OS?

i have also tried to fix this and do what you said but it shows my use account and a fingerprint login that says swipe finger to log in....now i dont know if all you other guys know or not but you can just swipe your finger...you dont have to click on your account or on fingerprint logon....it just knows what account it is from your finger and logs you on

I would think you wouldn't want that, actually. What if you were away fro your computer and needed someone to login for you? At least you can tell someone your password and they can login. Otherwise, chop off your finger and send it? Well, you do have 10 fingers so it may not be a big deal to you. Personally, I'm crazy about my fingers!

    you misunderstand completly im afraid.

It used to show your login account which you could click to enter a password or just swipe your finger print.
Now it is showing both a normal account and a fingerprint account.

I want it to show jsut what it was before with 1 account that does both either a pass or a finger print scanner

I think it is that way with no way to change it.

When I first setup the fingerprint login, it was initially like you described...with just one account icon...then somewhere along the way, maybe after rebooting?...the second "user" icon appeared. Doesn't bother me though, but if I could choose I'd take just one icon I guess.
