My fingerprint login thing worked great for the first few days, but is now going crazy. Last night when I thought my computer was sleeping, it turns out it was not (opened it this morning and nothing happened, so had to press the power button, got to windows, then it said that the Dell Dock had problems and it restarted itself). Anyhow, since then the fingerprint login is acting as though I am constantly putting my finger on the sensor. It makes the sound every 4 seconds, and the little icon on the taskbar shows that its being scanned. Any ideas what to do?

I would try uninstalling the software and then reinstalling. Something may have gotten corrupt do to the abnormal shutdown it experienced.
