I was having the crackling noise problem when playing movies or music, like many of you.So I did some digging around and found a hp driver for the bcm4322 which is the dell 1510 card..I ran the install and it extracted the driver to a folder on the root of the C: called swsetup. From there I went to device manager and when to up date the the drive for the dell card. I then selected the option to manually locate the driver , then selected the let me choose option and selected the swfolder and a waring came up and I dismissed and I no longer have a audio problem.

Interesting fix. Maybe some others can chime in if this solves their problem.
