Awesome!
Hope it will be as good as 630m!
Do you know how long it takes for Dell Canada to have newly released laptop on Dell USA? -
Well according to my sources, It would be released to North, South, and Central America on 05/01/06. All at the same time.
-
So basically a consumer version of the D620?
-
Does Dell offer good deals for a laptop's launch? -
basically it is the upgrade of the Inspiron 630/XPS M140 -
They usually do, I guess it might be around the same price the E1505 had when it launched.... -
Inspiron 6400 is the same as e1505? I remember seeing indeed good deals when it was released on Dell Canada... -
Yes... Inspiron 6400 = E1505
-
And this E1405 is again available with the integrated graphics option only???
-
Excluding XPS, dell has graphics adapters all right... they put ATIs 'Thin-n-Light' chip in main stream notebooks, and put integrated only in their thin-n-lights.
One of my concerns about getting an e1505 was that they would release an e1405 with x1400 graphics... and id want one... well no danger of that. lol. -
That's pretty much what we expected, although I would have liked to see the weight a bit lower. The integrated graphics aren't a big killer for me since it's an improvement over the M140 and will be able to run Vista. Are there any pics out yet?
-
-
Well It would look the same as the Inspiron 630m, only with internal changes.
-
-
Any idea if it will have an integrated webcam and mic for video chat?
Thanks again! -
Dell has never put webcams on their notebooks in the past so I'm not sure the e1405 will have them.
When tommorow will the e1405 be on the site? I want to start comparing the deals for tit with those for the 640m. -
The 640m is out in Chile.
-
GRR!!! I can't wat anymore!! *bangs head on keyboard*
-
Grr...gotta hate these Intel Graphics 950s integrated thingys.
Was a dedicated gfx ever offered for the 630m, 620m, 610m, 600m, etc? -
NYCscorpio2000 Notebook Consultant
620m and 610m never existed, the 600m did have a dedicated graphics card. and the 630m only has Intel 900 IG.
-
If only it had dedicated graphics...
What I don't get, is they can pop in dedicated graphics in a 12" (M1210) but not a 14" (E1405)?!? -
Well, it is 5/1. What time does Dell usually make new products available on their website? I have been waiting for this laptop to launch so I can price it against some other laptops.
-
Well, as previously noted it's already on Dell Chile, but there is no "special time" of the day where they are put onto the site.
-
Hurry up Dell! lol
-
The deal on Dell Chile is awesome!
GRRR what are they waiting for? -
The day's nearly half over! Why are they waiting?
-
I don't know... It's strange Chile got it before us lol
-
thats the way dell does it, I guess...
Is it me or Dell Chile seems to have good prices ? Is that in USD ? -
I think so, 27% off is pretty sweet
-
It's Chile Pesos... www.xe.net/ucc to convert into USD (or CAD)
It seems to be a pretty good deal! -
Yeah, but when will WE BE ABLE TO ORDER IT!!!???
-
-
-
still waiting... I wonder if I could order it off the chilean website since I know enough spanish to get over the language barrier.
-
Anyway when you configure it, you can choose between English and spanish OS and keyboard...
EDIT: I checked and Dell Chile doesn't ship to USA or Canada... -
*sighs* PLEASE MAKE IT AVAILABLE BEFORE THE DAY IS OVER!!
-
I check every 5-10 minutes while "working"... I'll let you know
-
I got on now to spend some time comparing prices since I won't be able to order it until Wednesday. I want to start deciding between the e1405 or the 640m
when they have it pm me will you? That way when I check later I won't have to search Dell in vain for it. -
will do! -
Yes they are but the pricing is a bit different.
They now have it in the Cayman Islands and it's in english too!
http://www1.la.dell.com/content/products/compare.aspx/inspn_mobility?c=ky&l=en&s=dhs -
Seems a bit cheaper there...
-
Still nothing eh?
no one cares either... -
Nothing... I guess we'll have to wait for tomorrow... that sucks! lol
-
yeah, I guess Dell is punishing us americans for finding out about it in the first place even though it was their fault they leaked the spreadsheet on google.
-
pk npw I'm starting to get irritated, like every other country has it but us even though we're their biggest customer.
What's the deal Dell?
The netherlands have it too, everywhere but the NA continent. -
Maybe they're preparing a big surprise for us
-
I'm SOOO excited and anxious, Come ON DELL!!!! Sorry venting frustration.
-
Well it's Tuesday morning and still nothing.
