I really like the fact that I can use the Fn key to activate the numeric keypad, however, other other laptops don't have this option, even if they do in fact have the Fn key.

The folks over at the HP board seem to think that this option doesn't seem realistic. With HP, you must first press Fn + Number Lock and then the keypad is enabled, but at the same time, the rest of the keyboard is disabled. I see the Fn button as kind of a "shift" button, if you will.

There are programs that I use that take advantage of the keypad (the numbers up top are not usable) as well as the letter keypad simultaneously, and I would prefer to employ this Dell style Fn key functionability with an HP laptop as well.

Does anyone know how I can get the same setup on an HP? There are no options in HP's BIOS to do so. I know that this isn't the HP board, but I thought someone here might possibly know.
