The head of customer relations UK argued with me about the existence of an issue with the grainy samsung screens and said that no issue exists.

Then he asked me to provide him the service tag and case number of all people
who have had this issue and REPORTED it or asked for a replacement, to prove it. And so I im asking here.

Can you please PM or post here your service tag and case number and customer number so i can prove to Dell that this issue exists. Do not worry your details are safe, only the Dell Manager to whom these details are sent to can access the case.

Its like sort of a petition!

Thanks and may dell finally realise not to put crappy samsung lcd's in their laptops!

I don't care how legit your cause is, but i dont think anyone should pm a service tag or post it on here.

Dell knows of the issue you're talking about, you don't need tag # to prove it. How long have you had the Laptop for? Are you just complainig about "grainy screen" because you were just made aware of it through reading posts on this board? If you had the machine for a few months and are just complaining about it now, I can see why Dell may give you a hard time on replacing it. If the screen was grainy when you received it you should have complained within the 30 days satisfaction period and dell would have replaced without hesitation.

Yea...thats not the smartest thing to do if everyone was posting their service tag on the forum. Its best to contact tech support and call in for an issue of a grainy screen or poor picture quality. They will be more then happy to replace that LCD for you. Now requesting the LG screen is a bit more complicated. You can try to request a certain part number, Im sure someone has posted it before on a thread.

Right the thing is i had bought it from a reseller after the 30 day period,
The first time they replaced it for me with an LG, but the resolution was wrong.

So they replaced it again with a grainy samsung,
then replaced the whole notebook despite the whole way through ive been telling them that all I want is an LG.

The Manager stated that this problem doesnt exist and he has no record of any other customers that are having this problem. He implied that it was only me and that he cannot send me an LG. He also contacted his technicians who say that no issue is known with these screens.

Then i said that the problem does exist because I have read the numerous other complaints on this forum, and he starting demanding me to provide case numbers of all those customers.

I asked him if he had a 1520 with a samsung screen in front of him, because if not there is no way he can understand the issue.
That is why i am asking for your case numbers, If you are concerned about your privacy. Do not be alarmed, only the Dell Manager will be able to access your case details and nothing will be said to me unless you provide signed consent.
