I'm only familiar with the Saturday Night Fever (John Travolta) sequel. But I think if you watch that movie you die in real life, too!

Yep... it was. The bummer was Alienware was the star notebook used in it.

    Synopsis

After the brutal death of a friend, a group of friends find themselves in possession of a video-game called 'Stay Alive,' a blood-curdling true story of a 17th century noblewoman known as the Blood Countess. After playing the game when they know they shouldn't, however, the friends realize that once they die in the game--they die for real. As their numbers begin dropping and as they begin dying in the ways they died in the game, the remaining friends realize they must defeat the Blood Countess or accept their fates.

Dude always posts in the Dell forums... prolly 'cause he owns a Dell notebook I guess.

I've seen the trailers and judging from them, I thought it wasn't worth a see [I know, I'm bad... but my weird logic says that if they can't even convince me with a simple trailer, what more with the movie itself? Sorry that's just how it works for me ;)]. The premise is quite creepy though, I must admit.

BTW, wasn't it just "Stay Alive"? Isn't "Staying Alive" that old song with men singing in a high falsetto? :p

Excellent movie for a thrill or too.

Although I felt some things weren't executed at best.

I wish more movies went into the gaming scene! - But do it properly! Because I think generally, the movie made all gamers look like grease-balls with no money for anything besides Alienware computers and plasma tv's.

I don't know how to put my finger on it. Point is I think it kinda gave gamers a bad image although some may disagree. I feel the movie was great, but some aspects were executed poorly. I liked it though, regardless.

Overall, if you like electronics and technology, a few decent lookin' chicks and some gore and a thrill or two, and watching a guy passed out with a bong over his Alienware laptop, this is totally the movie for you!
