Hey guys. I have a XPS 1210. I was searching for backpacks that have the laptop pouch but could not find one that I liked. They are all really bulky and I want a semi small backpack.
So I realized that I can buy a notebook sleeve that is nicely padded that I can put into my regular north face backpack.
The only problem is I dont know which sleeve to get. I have the extended battery which makes the laptop a little bigger.
So my question is. If you have a notebook sleeve for this laptop and like it alot, please tell me where you got it from. A link or even a picture of your laptop in the sleeve would be GREATLY appreciated. I am mainly looking something that has some padding (can be velcro or zipper closed) and wont rip/tear after a month.
So once again, which sleeve will fit this laptop. If you have it please post a pic up with your laptop in it so I can see how it works.
Thanks guys

I use the Caselogic 13" Student Shuttle Case
http://www.caselogic.com/13_laptop_shuttle/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=70111
It got the black one. It fits the laptop perfectly with the extended battery. The case fits snugly over the laptop, and there isn't any extra space. The only problem is that the so called 'power pouch' in front of the case is pretty useless with the laptop inside, as there isn't enough space to put anything else except maybe a CD or anything.
The only thing was that it wasn't easily found for me since I live in Canada, and I had to order it from a US store and pay more than the price of the case to get it shipped. But still, very good case and no complaints. -
i got two targus bags. one is a backpack and one is the urban messenger. It would be nice to find a really thin cover.

Zeroshock sleeves rock thats what I use.

hmm that one looks nice. 25 bucks is pretty good too.
As for the Zeroshock. What size/model did you get? How well does it fit -
well lets call it an ebay special it is a bit big as it is for larger notebooks but it makes room for other items to go in the sleeve with it. got the A4 size. Great build and materials

i wondered if anyone has tried a Shinza Zeroshock III 13inch to see if it fits the M1210 with an extended. I want something that has been tested to fit perfectly.

I bought the same sleeve as iPPi, i.e.

I ordered from www.academicsuperstore.com with free shipping, great deal at under $20 and very well padded, fits M1210 with extended battery perfectly and fits snugly in my backpack. Was a little nervous putting such a great new laptop in my backpack and looked at other cases, but this feels secure and well-padded and had gotten good reviews.
Also agree about the lap-pouch (i.e. about useless) but I keep contact/reward info on a 3x5 card in it, and a 1GB USB key I use for ReadyBoost.
Very happy with the quality and the looks -
I may be a bit off track here, but if you are also into digital photography you should seriously look at the lowepro compudaypack.
I use the sleeve that comes with the xps1210 and put it in the day pack compartment...There is a lot of space to fit in other stuff too...
Only drawback is that you cannot lock the bag... otherwise pretty good...
check it out...

I just bought the Shinza Zero shock III. It fits the M1210 with the 9 cell battery perfect. I bought it because of the reviews on Notebook review. The problom was that most people were buying the 12 inch version and saying that it barley fits. If you go on there web site and click on the 12 inch version they actually say to get the 13 inch version for the m1210. I would definetly recomend it!

Kabs:
Take a look at the CasePC Extra Small Sleeve. I've got it, and it fits the M1210 with the six-cell pretty well (there's a little play) and the nine-cell perfectly.
Here's the review. It used to have pictures but they've been taken down.
