Did you use F-Disk or Partition Magic and delete the hidden partitions? I'm thinking about reformatting before college, and I was wanting to know it is worth the extra time for that process of deleting the hidden images

I just reformatted my I9300 and I missing two device drivers which I can't seem to find at Dell.com. I'm missing the ethernet controller and the PCI modem drivers.

The ethernet driver is the broadcom 10/100 under network drivers, and teh PCI modem driver is located under communications.

I deleted the partition when i did the XP reinstall. You have an option to delete/create partitions during the process. After i got the installation done, i use Partition Magic to create a partition. I didn't realize that I wanted one until after everything was done and didn't want to reinstall all over again.

I think it is worth deleting the spare partition. To me it is useless if you have the backup disks. If anything goes wrong with windows, you'll want to repair it, not restore it back to factory condition. Plus you get the 5 or how many ever gigs it is back :).
