    Hi everyone...

I just got a dell 1405 with vista pre-loaded. And as expected the hd came loaded with all kinds of junk software. The hd capacity is 80gb and it has two partitions: one for OS (64.2gb) and the other for RECOVERY (9.99gb). That leaves 5.8gb unaccounted... so,

first question is what the heck is all this partitioning and where is the rest of my hd?

the second question is - is there a guide for reformating hd with vista. although i've read that you can manually remove programs using the add/remove programs in vista; it seems safer to format hd and just start with a fresh copy of vista.

    any help appreciated.
