Looks good. Regarding the LCD, if it is crappy just get Dell to swap it out for you. Secondly, after you make the purchase, make sure that the owner fills up the transfer of ownership form or ask him for his original invoice/packing slips. The reason I mention this is because craigslist can be shady sometimes and you want to make sure the system isn't stolen or that Dell is still honoring the warranty on the unit.

Secondly regarding the wireless card; yes you can swap it out. You can buy an Intel 4965 a/b/g/n card for around 40 bucks or so and just replace it with the current wireless card.

    GOod Luck!

Make sure it's not a scam. Perhaps ask the owner to send you real pics of the computer with proof that it's them in the picture or something. I just read an article about Craigslist and how people are doing all sorts of scams on it.

So just be careful when buying like this.

I guess I forgot that I was going to meet him up close to my area, so there should not be any scamming. Ive already talked to him on the phone, he seems pretty cool.

System production date is in April of 2008 so the system is less than a month old. Definetly DDR3.

    Good luck with the purchase!

If it is m1530's 8600m GT then it must be DDR3. However, there is a chance it might be 8400m instead, for what ever reason (scam, etc), you can check by booting up the laptop and look at the device manager.
