When I purchased my E1705 Laptop from dell, I received a free 50 dollars in the mail for which I can use on anything from dell, and it expires in about a month. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should use it on which is around 50 dollars. I’m not sure what to look for, and instead of getting some expensive item and using the coupon on that, I figured that I would just get something worth around $50. I was thinking maybe just a 9-cell battery and getting 50 dollars off of the price, but if there’s some other useful things from Dell which I could get then I would get those instead. Any suggestions please?

Getting the battery is probably the best decision. That is if you want the purchase to be towards something for your laptop. If not, look around Dell. There are a lot of electronic items. If you need a camera (like a Canon SD600 or etc), find coupons/discount and apply them. Then tack on the $50 off.

Yup 9 cell battery would be an excellent idea! That is what I would do.

A laptop mouse could be a good choice as well.

I looked around today and those who replied above are a few items I was looking into. They were the TV tuner, the quicksnap blue color, and the battery then as well. I have plenty of mouses though, so that I wouldn't need.

How much would an external hard drive go for. I'm thinking though that dell isn't the best place to buy one of those as they are really cheap on places like new egg. Thanks for the suggestions so far everyone :)

*Edit... if I got a tv tuner, what would be the kind that would work for my E1705 laptop which will also allow me to record live tv and watch it etc... Are there different types of Tv tuners, or do they all do the same thing?

You can build an external HD on your own for real cheap. Below is an example of what you would need. Internal HD + enclosure. BTW, you could bulid one for under $100 easy, just depends how much space you want. I have two bulit external HDs and they work great. I also have the enclosure I linked below. I love it. Base glows blue as well when it is running.

    320GB Seagate HD @ $90 USD.

Yea, I could probably use an external hard drive, but it would have to be from Dell because I have the 50 free dollars only on dells website, so I'll have to decide :O
