Hey, I have a e1705 and it is telling me I have 1.63GB free space on my C drive. But when I open my C folder and highlight everything in it and hold my mouse over one of the folders it says only 3.51 GBs have been taken up. My computer is supposed to have a 60GB hard drive, and actually came with around that. I never really had a problem with free space until my school reformatted my computer. Now all of a sudden I lost alot of memory. Although it is still telling me that the total size of the drive is 50 GB it is still saying I have 1.63GB free. Since when is 3.51 GB the same as 39.37GB

In windows explorer, make sure under tools >> folder options >> view >>:

    • show hidden files and folders checked
    • hide protected operating system files unchecked

    for accurate reporting in explorer.

Better to right click C and view properties on that. It'll include everything.

It turns out that it showed my Fraps file as 28 GB so I uninstalled and re-installed it, and I was from 3% free space back up to 56% free space. Thanks for all the help but it turns out I could figure it out =]
