Has anyone successfully gotten this deal with a new laptop purchase in Canada? If so, could I still get it if I am within my return period (I bought my Alienware less than 21 days ago)?

Nothing is free... If they're offering a "free Xbox", that means the laptop is probably being marked up by a few hundred dollars extra.

Dell's website and flyer prices are usually pretty ridiculous....the best way to buy Dell products is definitely not through their website.

I read somewhere you have to be a student and I thought it was a laptop purchase from best buy or future shop?

I am a student, and that is false since Dell USA gives them out.

Actually, Microsoft USA and Microsoft Canada are different.

For Canada, you need to purchase a HP computers over $599 at Bestbuy or Futureshop to be eligible.

In the US, the rules are different, so you would have to be a student at a US college and have purchased from Dell USA to be eligible in the US.
