I have random lock ups when I start up windows on my XPS M1210. I was wondering if anyone was having the same problem or if there's anyway to figure this out by looking at the boot seq etc. Sometimes the laptop won't start up after the windows loading screen or sometimes it will...I don't know what's going on

Yes, I had that and I had to re-install windows XP. That happened to me as I've recently found out, was caused by a unclean uninstallation of my video driver. I forgot to uninstall my default ATI drivers before installing the Omega 6.5 drivers. This normally happens when your computer hasn't had a driver uninstalled before a new one was installed. Sometimes you just got to learn it the hard way mate!!

    Sorry, Daniel

I had this problem after I installed Daemon Tools I think the SPTD drivers screwed it up or after I created a partition with partition magic...then all my **** hit the fan. I did uninstall the SPTD driver...I think haha but that's where all my troubles started. What do you mean by installing anything greek on it? Sorry n00b here =(
