I've just done a fresh install of Windows XP Home and various drivers on a Dell Inspiron 6000d laptop, originally bought October/2005.

I have a Dell applications CD that contains installers for: Dell Media Experience; and MusicMatch Dell Jukebox. Should I install them? Do they offer better functionality than freely-available tools such as Windows Media Player, etc?

I also have CDs from Dell to install CyberLink PowerDVD and Roxio Creator MyDVD Combo. Should they also be installed, or are there other tools out there that would be better?

I'd welcome recommendations from those of you who are familiar with these applications from Dell. :)

If it was up to me, I'd leave out anything that had "Dell" before, in the middle, or at the end of the name.

Thanks for the opinion. A little more explanation would be good. ;)
