I have just purchased a replacement screen for my 9400/E1705, it came with the WXGA (1440x900) TFT Display fitted and I have now stuck on the UltraSharp™ Wide Screen WUXGA (1920x1200) TFT Display.
The only problem I have is the Bios is showing (1440x900) and will not let me run it at 1920x1200 in screen settings, is their any way of changing this so I can run the display at (1920x1200) or is the Bios locked?

You could call Dell and ask about this problem. I bet they will give you more info about a BIOS update.

    Good luck.

Have you tried wiping the BIOS by disconnecting the BIOS battery for about 10 minutes?

Reflashing the bios should do the trick.
