Help! Have a Dell Studio 1737..am having problems burning Dvd-r's! Firstly...have Klite full codec pack..WMP, WMC and Roxio Creator 10.2,and Media player classic(which was the default player with KLite) have no issues burning audio cd's with WMP..very easy, but when I burn a dvd with vista..I find the files then hit "Burn" the green Icon top left..it will burn disc but will not finalise it automatically..I have to look around to find the finalise option..the dics will then only play in WMP..WMC will not regognise the disc neither will Media Player Classic...is it a codec issue? Should I switch things on or off in Klite? My DVD Player supports all DVD-R and CD-R formats but will not recognise a disk burned with Vista!! Can you burn Video in WMP? I know you can burn cd's..just want my dvd-r to play in a normal DVD player or any laptop! Also..looked at burning a disc with Roxio Creater but find it very complicated! Anyone burn a DVD with Roxio? Any input would be awesome!

are you burning it as a DVD-Video or burning the file to a DVD-disc?

Have you tried removing the K-Lite CODEC pack? From my experience these codec packs only screw up your system.

For DVD burning I use DVDFab and ConvertXtoDVD

I use the Dell Roxio Creator 10DE (lite version) that came with the beast for basic DATA CDs or DVDs. I prefer the other two I mentioned for MOVIE discs.
