I have a E1505 with SigmaTel audio running Windows XP and I can not get the audio to work in full-duplex mode. When I plug my mic in I should hear from the speakers anything the mic picks up, but I don't. The main reason for wanting this is I have a USB tv tuner device that I would like to use but it requires a line-in audio connection. Without having full duplex I have no sound. I have searched all over the web and have found no answers. I know that it is possible because I have a speech changing app that forces full duplex that works just fine.
Thanks for any help
Dave

Is it possible that the microphone is muted in the sound control panel? I don't really have much help other than that, but its just a thought.

Sigmatel cards found in DELL notebooks are FullDuplex, and they work FullDuplex (works both ways) for applications like Instant messengers; BUT DELL has restricted playback through speakers and recoding for some reason

Sweet, Thank you so much PhoenixFX. Made a few registry tweaks and all is good.
I don't know how you found that or how you found ME but I am glad you did.
Thanks again.
