I bought the studio 15 with full HD screen and blu-ray, I have read about some people saying at full 1080 resolution, the writing is wayyyyy too small.

Is this true, and is there no way to decrease the resolution.

I thought if I am getting blu-ray I might as well get full HD screen but I don't want to get my laptop and find that the writing is tiny, and I have to use a magnifying glass to do anything.

Offcourse you can change the screen resolution, 1080p is going to be the maximum resolution your screen can support, but you can change to the resolution you want in the Windows configuration.
Try using it at max resolution, you will get used to it and you will love it, you will be able to see a lot more in the screen.

Will it still be nice and sharp and full screen, etc if I decrease the reolution?

Also, if I do find everything too small and decrease the resolution, Will I have to increase the resolution to full if I want to watch a blu-ray movie at full/highest quality?

Yes it will be full screen, but the quality will not be that good as using it at 1920x1080, it will still look nice, considering you dont decrease too much.

Yes, if you decrease the resolution and later you want to watch a bluray movie at FULLHD you will have to configure the resolution to 1920x1080. But that is pretty easy and fast.

Trust me, you will love 1920x1080 resolution, its beautiful in a 16 inch screen

If you find text to be too small (which I think is unlikely to begin with), then increase the DPI, rather than decreasing the resolution. This will make text and icons larger, but will retain the full 1080p resolution.

the studio 1555 is 15.6", not that its a big difference.

So you definitely don't find anything too small?

I am using a 19" monitor right now, and the resolution is set to 1280x960 and it is perfect.
