This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    The funny thing about rankings of the top laptops listed here on NBR the computers that I was interested in, as every other mainstream person was interested in has shot to the top of the list or is climbing. I saw the D620 shoot up from number 20 to number 14. The T60, which I looked at reviews of daily (I should have just printed it out or made a PDF) is still number one.

    Well.. I think.... the rankings are based on the number of clicks.. any first time visitor (sometimes even a returning visitor) tend to look at the top 10-15 list on the LHS and click on a laptop from there..... so laptops in the lower half of the table have to be lucky to climb up...
