Why the heck don't they distinguish this on their site between the two lines? And more importantly why don't they understand the difference between the two on the telephone!

    grrrrr. Being transferred around....

Don't know they probably want to sell you a GDDR2 model making you think it's a GDDR3 or something dumb like that.

Too late for that. I have an inspiron 1520 and it didn't say what speed the memory was and I assumed it was gddr3 like the xps line. I'm trying to get my laptop exchange or upgraded.

Unfortunatley I recieved this laptop on november 22.

    1530 has GDDR3

    1520 has GDDR2

I'm currently trying to get compensated for the memory issue. I didn't care before and I just let it go because Dell always we're prompt and stuff with service. But they just bit the hand that feeds them so to speak. So I'm going after the compensation.

They should draw a line, that's terrible - you buy a machine expecting one thing and it's something else.

OK so get this! I finally was transferred to a really nice English speaking american lady! I was really nice and explained the situation and guess what she came back with?

They are going to send me the same laptop in my sig that i puchased on 12/29 for myself to replace my wifes inspiron 1520 that we purchased on nov 15th. I had to ask her to confirm what she was saying like 5 times becuase it was too good to be true! And they are sending a return shipping label for this inspiron! Talk about free upgrade!

    I am very impressed!
