You'll want to download the latest drivers from either Intel (if you have the X3100) or from www.laptopvideo2go.com for nVidia cards. You need a driver specifically for XP32bit. We have a sticky in the gaming forum that has a little more info for upgrading your video drivers. If you get the time, you might find the info there fairly useful.

    Hi Greg,

I also have XPS M1330 with Intel Mobile GM965 Express Chipset and I am installing XP Pro on it (wiping Vista out).

I tried both the Intel web site driver

    http://downloadcenter.intel.com/fil...XP+Professional&lang=eng&strOSs=44&submit=Go!

and the latest NVidia driver 169 (at laptopvideo2go) with mod inf file.
    http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=15828

But both driver said they don't recognize my hardware.

When I talked to Dell support, they said that they couldn't find a driver for it and maybe the model is Vista-Exclusive.

I am really running out of ideas. Will someone please help?!

    Best,
    Lanny

Strange. I have a Vostro 1500 with gm965 and works fine with XP and VISTA.
I received a CD driver with my n-series and install windows xp professional perfect. Then I decided to upgrade to vista and works fine either, very quick. On XP I have to configure to SATA mode my HD, but in vista I am using AHCI mode for the HD. Both work fine. I remember when microsoft launch XP and many people said that didn't work, now Vista is in the same way.
I have to use new NERO 8, new McAfee, all new software, because the old one just don't work. If you do that and have money $$$$$ to upgrade all software, you will like Vista.

I'm borred with the same look of XP, I'm tired so I jump and uuuuuuuuuuu let's go........
