Forget about playing Ghost Recon and C&C3. I'm not sure about HL2, the other games should run well.

C&C 3 will definitely be more demanding than the X3100 can handle.

i have the same laptop, brand new (i got it yesterday) and the sims 2 won't work on it. this is because of vista and the bad graphics card that is the only option for this laptop. if you want to play the sims and probably some of the other games you are going to want AT LEAST a 2.0 GHz processer or better.

I have this laptop , check the sig. I can play games such as doom 3 without any problems at all. Granted not the best settings but perfectly playable.

I recently bought a Dell 1525 with almost identical hardware to yours, and I cannot run CounterStrike: Source, Half Life 2, or Garry's Mod. Steam says something about the graphics card not recognized and the games won't run. I think we just have to wait until they update Steam to include our graphics card. But I can finally run GTA: San Andreas (wouldn't work on my Inspiron 1501)!

So is this Intel GMA X3100 the integrated graphics card I've been hearing about?

    Hi there,

I would consider trying for another Dell with either dedicated or ATI integrated (with hypermemory), as I have found that when I had Intel integrated it simply outdated very quickly, e.g. Desperate Housewives game wouldnt run on intel integrated, but run fine on an older ATI Radeon Mobility integrated. The extra graphics is worth it in the end as its probably the only component that cannot be upgraded.

To say that I'm bewildered there is such a thing as a "Desperate Housewives game" is an understatement.

...that someone chose to purchase a copy of it... well, that just seems riduculous :)

Do you play cs source? If so, what system settings and game settings did you do to make it playable?
