Hey, i'm looking to buy my first laptop and from the reviews on this site, i've narrowed it down to pretty much the XPS M140. The only thing that i'm concerned about is the integrated graphics. I'm not looking to play HL2 on it or anything but I was wondering what level of games it could actually run well? The only game I play fairly consistently anyway is Warcraft III/The Frozen Throne so I was wondering if any M140 owners could chime in with Warcraft III game performance? That's pretty much what my decision is based upon now since all the other aspects of the system fit my needs well. I'd also appreciate any stories on how other popular games fare on the M140. Thanks

I wouldn't recommend integrated graphics for any kind of gaming short of goofy internet stuff or solitare. I don't think the M140 is a good idea for you. Perphaps you should go to the 'What Should I Buy?' Forum and post the 'What should I buy?' FAQ listed at the top of that forum. That way we can help you find a lappy that can get the job done.

They benchmarked a few games with onboard video solutions. War 3 along with the GMA900 were among them.

Overhead/2D type games should be fine. My folks have a desktop with a P4 3.0 and GMA 900. When I went home for the holidays, I played WoW on it, and it ran fine with the fancy settings turned low.
