So if i take the battery out, how should i cap the from the batteries spot? Do they sell caps to seal them or do i have to construct my own?

I think some company out there makes dummy laptop batteries, but I'm not sure where they sell them. What model do you have?

I would check eBay for cheaper batteries . . . you'll find them on there for less than Dell charges.

And -off topic but - do you read the Star Wars books? I saw your username and thought you might have. ;)
