So I see some disappointment regarding the new Inspirons for some of you. I thought I'd post this new Gateway listing so you could see some possible alternatives to the Inspiron. These are the new M and T series lines, at 15 inch and 14 inch respectively. Color customizeable with blue and red and grey.

These are supposed to offer DX10 capable cards as well as Blu Ray and the M, supposedly a full 1080 screen. Here is some brief information:

Again I realize this is a Dell forum...I'm promoting freedom of choice and just giving aspiring Inspiron owners some options. The final specs aren't available, but very promisiing. Oh and HDMI too ;)

    Away with him!

Kidding aside, my current laptop is an old crusty PIII Gateway. It has seen better days, but it never fails to boot up! I'm still going to keep it around after my 1520 arrives.

It's really nice they'll be offering some solid customization now. Haha..I'm sure someone on here won't like the Gateway word mentioned in a Dell forum. I just wanted to list some news headlines so people could consider other choices before buying their Dell.

I have no brand loyalty really. I want to see what Gateway comes out with when they make these new laptops available. They might have some good stuff! I hope their graphical options are extensive.

    Gateway sucks in its service...

One week after I got my Gateway laptop... my laptop suffered white spots. Gateway said I had to buy a return box so that I could safely ship it back so the techs could fix it. They then called me up a week later telling me that it would cost me about $650 to fix. I was like uhhhhhhhhh...... no.

2 years later... this laptop is falling apart (like the power connector thingy is partially broken) and the laptop randomly powers down / shuts off (prolly cause poor ventilation design).

    NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!

    Still looks nice though...
