I was checking out the Dell XPS 1210 on the Swedish Dell site and I got to thinking; is it worth spending around 430 dollars on upgrading to a mid-end card like the 7400? It just feels a bit strange considering you could easily buy a high-end card for that money. The upgrade from an ATI x1400 to a Nvidia 7900gs doesn't even cost that much in the 17 inch notebooks for example, while the difference in performance is enormous. What do you think?
I just saw a similar thread to mine but the difference was that the upgrade cost was only 50 bucks and the poster was still unsure. I'm starting to feel that 430 dollars is bit crazy....

the rule usually is that anything dedicated is better tah nintegrated chipsets namely the GMA950
there is quite an increase in FPS and playability of games when comparing the GMA950 to the go 7400 and in my opinion is worth shelling out the extra bucks for it
it will also help you play most of the new games on medium-low settings

I would agree that it is miles beyond the GMA950. HOWEVER, $430? Really? Is that US dollars, because if that is the converted amount, I wouldn't have done it. It was $150 US when I got mine, and it is well worth even $200 in my opinion.

(just saying it's not worth it in swedish)
GeForce? Go 7400 vs Intel GMA 950 worth the price?
