    Geforce 525M optimus switching problem with inspiron N5110 ?

    hey, let's get straight to the problem :D

    and btw ... i'm newbie :eek:


    the display settings (i.e dxdiag ) detects the Intel HD etc
    not the nVidia .. but it shows the max. VRAM : 3.8GB as it should

    the problem is with those games having separate Settings.exe

    like Pro Evolution Soccer ( PES ) .. you modify the settings before you run the game ... the settings.exe detects the Intel with its 64MB VRAM .. so it says ( cant implement settings due to insufficient video card specs )

    i mean .. there is some games which detects ur video card automatically and customize the proper settings for it's performance


    i downloaded the latest nVidia drivers for the 525M !
    but still helpless :mad:

    btw .. some ppl says the optimus do the work, switching between the two chips whenever needed ... okay but,

    how do you guys know that it's the nVidia is being used or Intel chip ?!

    i have the same problem :S .. with PES too :) ..
    it says that the Intel is the working GPU and VRAM 64 ... and i donn knw how to make the G-Force work instead of Intel :S ..
    any help plz ?? ..

    if you haven't before, upgrade the nvidia driver from nvidia.com. The stock driver is not good at switching.
