    I'm in a bit of a dilemma.
    I could get the E1505, really fully lodad (2.0ghz, 7200 100gig HD, 1.5gig ram,
x1400, best screen etc...) now for approx 1350 $ due to the 750 off coupon.
But I only need it (a laptop that is) for the next University year (September).
Should I wait ? how often do Dell have coupons as high as those ?

The $750's don't come out often. But with many people if you can wait...wait. Merom is coming out later this year and it should cause some major price drops in systems as well as better coupons.

All depends on your needs. :)

    Hope this helps.

Well as I said, I don't need it right now, I only start Uni in September, and even then, I don't really need a notebook for the first day of school...
Guess I'll wait, very tempting though! and knowing myself, I'll probably get greedy and hold on to get Merom.

Like I said...even if you wait and don't want to spend the mint for Merom. The core-duo's and P-M's will be cheaper at that time. :)

    Good thinking. :)

I'm in the same boat. Except I am greedy now and will probably get it while the getting is good but will check it out at the local SF kiosk at Westfield Mall. Too bad they don't offer a 256MB DDR GPU at this point, anyone know if you could upgrade the GPU yourself? Is heat a big issue?

For the E1505 you can't switch the video card right now. I have heard people trying to get a 7800Go in and won't go. I am sure we will hear more on this and I am sure someone will find a way. :) Just nothing yet!

You can upgrade the cards in the E1505, but only to cards that are offered specifically for that laptop by dell. There have been some cases like with the 9300 where users were able to put the 7800 in, but that has been one of the special cases.
