Hi all! Firs post here! I recieved a Dell Inspiron 6400 for Chrismas. My first laptop. It has a 15.4 inch Wide Screen XGA Display. Also a 128MB ATI MOBILITY RADEON video card if that makes a differnce. My question: is there any way to make thinks on the screen a little larger without getting fuzzy? I've messed with the DPI but the icons on the tool bar at bottom get
a little fuzzy. I can live with that but I noticed pictures on webpages are not
very sharp. Anyway, can I enlarge everything a little and keep things mostly sharp? I don't need perfection, just a little larger. If not, I guess I will get used to the small size. My two desktop monitors are 21 and 20 inch. Guess I might have to get used to the small size on the laptop.

    Thanks!

I think it's hard just to make everything bigger without sacrificing quality. Maybe you could tell us the applications/browser etc that you use most and we could help with tricks for each.

For instance, in Firefox I just use ctrl + to make text larger. To make icons bigger in XP, go to the display settings, then appearance tab, then advanced and then choose icon and change the size.

I use a UXGA screen and can hardly imagine wanting things larger on an XGA. :)

    I'm using Internet Explorer 6.0.2

Are there any other browsers that can make webpages a little bigger without getting fuzzy?

    Thanks!
