Sorry if this has been answered in previous posts, I can't find it.

Basically I deleted all visible partion on my new E1405 before I saw this thread http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=67545. I did thought about keeping the diagnostic partition, but I found that you can downlaod a CD image of it from support.dell.com, so I just deleted it.

Anyways, now I cannot get into Media Direct. I tried the repair utility from support.dell.com, what happens now after I press the button is that the Media Direct screen will come up for a couple seconds, then the computer will boot into Windows.

So is there anyway to fix it? I saw on some other threads that I can get a Media Direct reinstallation CD from Dell, but will that just fix the existing partition or will it create a new partition at the end of the "visible" HD space, meaning that I will have two Media Direct partitions after installation?

    Thanks in advance
