    Hi,

My Inspiron 9400 is getting quite old now, but I am still planning to use it maybe another year.

The issue is that my graphics card 256MB GeForce Go 7900 GS has a driver that is nearly 3 years old now off the NVidia website.

I heard that you can get custom drivers (modified ones with different INF files) for it but I am not sure which one I can use with mine.

I checked laptopvideo2go, by entering my device id (0298) and subsys (019B1028) and it came out with the driver I am already using on the homepage, but some modified drivers were on the forum with a slightly newer date.
When I search for just my device ID without the subsys, I can get some 19x series ones as well, though I don't know what the subsys means and if they would be compatible.

So, I have no clue which one I should use - is there any particular version that might work better in terms of higher fps and similar stability as the one I already got, which is the 179.48?

    Thanks very much in advance

Thanks for your reply, would this also work if I have WinXPPro SP3?
